Working in Early Care and Education in North Carolina: 2019 Workforce Study

Child Care Services Association (CCSA), with funding from the Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE), conducted a statewide survey of the early care and education workforce in North Carolina in February 2019. This study provides comprehensive data on teachers, assistant teachers, and directors in early care and education centers and on the licensed early care and education programs in which they work. The data for this study were collected prior to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
